The competition is open to photographers of all types, inviting entries in one of three categories: monochrome (black and white), color, and experimental. In 2020, we have modified the parameters of the experimental category, which will now focus on photography as sculpture. Our goal is to attract non-traditional photography using a dynamic combination of materials, methods, concepts and subjects which challenge traditional boundaries of photography and expand the view of photography beyond two-dimensional art.

Entries are currently being accepted and may be submitted via https://artist.callforentry.org/festivals_unique_info.php?ID=6751. No entries sent directly to the Allegany Arts Council will be accepted. If an artist has not previously participated in a call through CAFÉ, it will be necessary to create an account prior to application.

Entries are $30.00 for up to two (entries) with a maximum of six (6) entries per photographer. The deadline to enter is February 10, 2020.
